On Sunday 18 March, £31,800 was raised during Richard Jackson’s Garden Re-Leaf shows on QVC, thanks to donations from vendors and the support of customers.
Over 21,000 gardening products were sold online and within the shows. A number of products sold out and Rupert Precious actually phoned Holland for further stock of Montrose of Guernsey’s 10 x Freesia Scented Cali Lily Bulbs as they had sold out during the first hour.
Linda Petrons, Head of Fundraising & Communications, Greenfingers Charity: “On behalf of us all at Greenfingers Charity we would like to say a huge thank you to QVC for once again supporting Greenfingers Charity’s Garden Re-Leaf Day. Thanks must also go to the presenters who worked so hard and to the vendors for their incredible generosity, not forgetting, of course, the garden-loving viewers for making purchases on this special show. The £32,000 raised this year, means that since 2013, you have raised a staggering £207,000. The money raised in previous years is already making a real difference to life-limited children and their families and this year’s fundraising will help Greenfingers Charity create more magical and inspiring gardens in children’s hospices across the UK.”
